Description of AAAC Conductor

All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) are concentric-lay-stranded conductors manufactured from heat-treated Al-Mg-Si alloy wires (Alloy 6201-T81). Available in single-layer (7 wires) and multi-layer (19, 37, 61, 91 wires) constructions.

Compared to conventional AAC and ACSR, AAAC offers an optimized strength-to-weight ratio, enhanced electrical properties, superior sag performance, and exceptional corrosion resistance in harsh environments.

These characteristics make AAAC the preferred conductor for power distribution networks, coastal overhead lines, and medium-, high-, and extra-high-voltage transmission systems.
