Product Introduction
Product Overview
The AAAC Tree Wire is a premium overhead conductor engineered to ensure uninterrupted power distribution in environments prone to vegetation interference. Designed with robust thermoset insulation, this cable provides exceptional protection against electrical faults caused by tree limbs, debris, or animal contact. Whether used in rural, suburban, or industrial landscapes, the AAAC Tree Wire delivers long-term reliability and safety for modern overhead line systems.
For other bare conductor options, explore our AAC Conductor and ACSR Conductor solutions.
Construction
The AAAC Tree Wire features a stranded AAAC (All Aluminum Alloy Conductor) core made from 6201-T81 aluminum alloy per ASTM B399. The conductor is protected by one, two, or three layers of advanced thermoset covering:
- Single Layer: TR-HDXLPE – Track Resistant High Density Cross-Linked Polyethylene
- Two Layers: XLPE / TR-HDXLPE – Standard XLPE insulation with a track-resistant outer jacket
- Three Layers: SCS / XLPE / TR-HDXLPE – A semi-conductive conductor shield (SCS) plus XLPE and a durable track-resistant outer layer
Available colors: Black or Gray

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What does AAAC stand for?
AAAC stands for All Aluminum Alloy Conductor, made from high-strength 6201-T81 alloy for improved sag and tension characteristics compared to pure aluminum.
Q2: How does Tree Wire differ from standard bare conductor?
Tree Wire includes a thermoset insulating layer that protects against electrical faults when contacting trees or debris, whereas bare conductors rely solely on air clearance.
Q3: Can AAAC Tree Wire be used in spacer cable systems?
Yes. The AAAC Tree Wire is fully compatible with spacer cable accessories, making it suitable for both open-line and bundled configurations.
Q4: What is the difference between single, two, and three-layer constructions?
Single-layer offers basic tracking resistance; two-layer adds a primary XLPE insulation layer; three-layer includes a semi-conductive shield for enhanced electrical stress control.
Q5: Is the product available in colors other than black or gray?
Currently, only black and gray are offered as standard color options.
Q6: Where can I find ACSR or AAC conductor alternatives?
Please visit our dedicated pages for [ACSR Conductor] and [AAC Conductor] for detailed specifications and pricing.
